How to register and activate the Basic Routing License on XS3800-28?

To fully utilize the OSPF (Open Shortest Path First) routing capabilities on the XS3800-28 switch, users must register and activate the Basic Routing license. This guide details the steps necessary to register the license through the MyZyxel portal and subsequently activate it on your device, ensuring the switch is equipped with advanced routing functionalities.

1. Access the Web GUI:
   • Log into the web GUI of your Zyxel XS3800-28 switch.
2. Navigate to Service Registration:
   • Go to Maintenance > Service Register, and click the hyperlink to access the portal at MyZyxel.
     
3. Log In to MyZyxel:
   • Enter your account credentials. If you have registered an account through the Nebula Control Center (NCC), you can use the same credentials here.
4. Register the License:
   • Click on 'Service Registration' to start the license registration process.
     
5. Enter License Key:
   • After registering your license successfully, copy and paste your license key into the filter field and click Link.
     
6. Link the License to Your Device:
   • Select the correct MAC address of the XS3800 switch from the list to link the license.
     
7. Verify License Linkage:
   • Navigate to the 'My Device' page, search for your switch using the MAC address or Serial Number, and click on the MAC address, which with a hyper link. The Basic Routing license should appear under 'Linked Services'.
     
8. Update License Status on the Switch:
   • Return to the XS3800 web GUI and click the 'Update' button. The status should now display as "Licensed".
