Total Mails Scanned

Hello.
I have a client with USG40 and active AntyVirus software.
When I study report sent on email I notice that in "Total Mails Scanned" is 0 .

Why ?
Is it related to the fact that we are using only SSL connection to our @mail server ?

I think usg series does not support to scan encrypted mails currently per referring to anther talking thread.
