To support Precision Time Protocol Version 2 (PTPv2) on a Zyxel switch, you can manually add PTP multicast addresses using Static Multicast Forwarding by MAC or IP.

For instance, if a user uses Dante in their network, the user needs to add the required PTP MAC address or IP address to switch. Here's how:

  1. Configure Static Multicast Forwarding by MAC:
    • PTP-1: 01:00:5e:00:01:81
    • PTP-2: 01:00:5e:00:01:82
    • PTP-3: 01:00:5e:00:01:83
    • PTP-4: 01:00:5e:00:01:84
  2. Configure Static Multicast Forwarding by IP:
    • PTP-1: 224.0.1.129
    • PTP-2: 224.0.1.130
    • PTP-3: 224.0.1.131
    • PTP-4: 224.0.1.132

Make sure to add the required PTP MAC addresses or IP addresses to the switch. If the user is using other video/audio systems, please inform them to check what are the PTP addresses and apply them to the switch.

Switch GS1900, XGS1250, XGS1210, and GS1200 do not support these two features.
