The gateway-level malware protection is not exactly the same as end-point based
USG Anti-Malware function is a gateway-level stream-based technology that provides a way to detect the most dangerous and prevalent threats (“in-the-wild”) at wire speed. This solution represents a balanced trade-off between in depth security and maximum performance.
The end-point based Anti-Malware tool is using virus engine and by default provides complete protection from all types of malware. This solution focus on 100% detection rate, not to consider any resource or performance consumption.
Gateway is only the first layer of protection. We strongly recommend establish entire end-point protection can provide more complete protection.
