Zyxel OLT1408A-C and Third Party ONU

Hello everyone!
I have one question. We use Zyxel OLT1408A-C in some locations with Zyxel ONT PMG5617. Some days ago, my bosses asked to try connect third party onu to this equipment. I know that Huawei and some other OLTs sopport third party ONUs. Is there any way to complete this task or Zyxel OLTs does not support other vendors' onts?
