Hi,

I try to configure my SBG3500-N000 to be able to connect to the internet. My login data are correct, as they are working with another router. But I got the message "The SBG3500 cannot connect to the internet. Please check WAN settingsor contact your ISP.".

My provider is 1&1 from Germany.

xDSL Statistics showing:

Mode: VDSL2 Annex B

VDSL Profile: Profile 17a

Traffic type: PTM Mode

Is it a question of firmware update? My firmware is V1.01 (AAON.4)

Thank you in advance!

You should post a picture of the menu Network/setting/broadband to configure

There you configure "VDSL over PTM" - deactivate over ATM

    "Routing " "PPPOE"

    activate Vlan p=0 q=7 MTU 1492

In PPOE you have to put in PPP username like this 1und1/+++++++@online.de

    get your adresses automatic

The device is old , but seems to be prepared for VDSL Vectoring profile 17a !

If not you have to use an external modem .

it seems there is a firmware SBG3500-N000

    V1.01(AAON.9)C0

    Thank you Peter2.

I used your configuration, but unfortunately it didn't changed anything. Here are the required screenshots.

1und1 often uses ds-lite for new accounts , then you dont have a real IPv4 Adress only one over CGNAT . Try IP V6 only if you obtain a IP V6 adress single. Try a Fritz box which ds lite capable if you have ds-lite . This device must be configured for ds-lite if thats true if it is even capable.

You are here in the home router consumer section , there is a professional security section .

There is another one with your firmware Question , post there too …
