The latest uOS firmware version introduces an Email Configuration Backup feature, enabling users to securely back up configuration files and receive them directly via email. This enhancement simplifies the backup process, adding flexibility and security.

Key Features:

1. Email Backup:
   • Users can now email their configuration files as a backup directly from the device GUI. This eliminates the need for manual downloading or third-party storage solutions.Users can choose to send the configuration backup to specific email addresses only once without storing these addresses in the configuration file.
2. Scheduled and Automated Backups:
   • For ongoing backup needs, users can schedule automated backups via email to selected recipients.
   • This setup ensures that the latest configurations are periodically sent and readily available.
3. Password Protection:
   • Users can set a password for the configuration file, adding an extra layer of security to protect sensitive configuration data when sent via email.

Configuration Steps:

1. Prepare the Configuration:
   • Go to Configuration Files and select Startup Configuration.
2. Set Email and Recipients:
   • Enter the email address(es) of the intended recipient(s).
   • If needed, set a Password for the file to secure the emailed configuration backup.
3. Send the Backup:
   • Click the Email button to initiate the backup email.
4. Email Server Setup:
   • Before using this feature, ensure that your Email Server settings are configured in the Notification Settings. Proper email server configuration is necessary for the email backup to function correctly.
