If I would move a network from NCX 5500 to Nebula what would be the costs?

Hello,

I am managing a hotel network of 150 AP's, Flex 700, NCX 5500 and 8 switches, from 8 ports to 48 ports (all managable). As support for controlling AP's from the router is not supported any more(that is a mistake!) one must use Nebula to control AP's within a network. My question is what are the costs involved moving the entire network to Nebula? Do I have to pay a fee for every item in the network(AP´s, routers, swithces etc.) or is it only one yearly fee (would go with the Pro Pack as I have several networks in control)?

Thank you.

    Hi @IB_ice

To clarify, managing devices on Nebula Control Center (NCC) does not currently have a limitation on the number of devices, even for the free Base plan. This means you can manage all 30 APs on Nebula CC without requiring additional licenses.

However, if you wish to access advanced features such as WiFi Vouchers, Remote CLI Access, DPPSK, or other premium options, a license subscription (Plus or Pro Pack) will be needed. You can refer to the document shared earlier for details on which features require a license:

    Hi @IB_ice

To manage your access points (APs) with basic features such as device monitoring, SSID settings, radio settings, and more on Nebula Control Center (NCC), it’s free. Currently, there’s no device limit for the base(free) organization on Nebula. However, if you need advanced features, you can choose from the 💎 Nebula Plus or 💎 Pro Pack subscriptions, which include additional capabilities like:

    • WiFi Vouchers
    • Remote CLI Access/Configurator
    • DPPSK (Dynamic Personal Pre-Shared Key)
    • RSSI Threshold Settings per AP
    • Exporting NAT AP Traffic Logs
    • Programmable SSID & PSK
    • WiFi Health Monitoring and Reporting
    • … and etc

For a detailed comparison of the features available with each subscription level, you can refer to these documents:

You can also explore the https://nebula.zyxel.com/ demo site to get a hands-on look at the available features. Features marked with a 💎 icon indicate that a Plus or Pro subscription is required.

    Hello,

Thank you for your answer. If I may streamline my question above. Earlier I had to buy AP licenses to be able to control AP's from the router or from a AP controller like the NCX 5500. Let's say I build a new network with 30 AP's, can I use Nebula to manage all 30 AP's or do I still have to buy AP licenses for 8 AP's as I have had to do?

    Thank you.
