DX3301-T0 - WLAN AP only

I want to set up my DX3301-T0 as AP only together with its VoIP capabilities.

How do I configure the device? I have set a static LAN IP address and WAN to Bridging mode (not using WAN interface right now).

My device is missing the default gateway address, the DNS server and the NTP server.

How do I configure that?

But which device is in front ? A modem or a Router sucessfully connected to the Internet ?

There is a router connected to the internet. (A German FRITZ!Box in this case, but it may vary in the future.)

The wireless runs ok, but it's annoying, that the device does not use domain names, cannot reach zyxel servers and has a terribly wrong time.

You should give the zycel a IP adress of the fritzbox net may be easier to do with DHCP

Welcome to the forum.

I would set-up the Ethernet WAN as an IPoE connection on your DX3301-T0 and connect its Ethernet WAN port to a LAN port on your Fritzbox and let the DX3301-T0 get its IP address by DHCP, see below.

I have done something similar this year with a Zyxel NBG7510, and it works well.

The configuration for setting up routing mode is really straight forward, it was the first thing I tried.

My intention is to not have routing mode, WLAN clients and LAN clients should have IP addresses from my local LAN. I have 5 APs in my house, they all work in bridging mode (running OpenWRT). The DX3301-T0 is supposed to be a replacement of one existing, with the additional capability to connect phones to the POTS interfaces.

I tried several configurations, dumb AP mode (bridging) is not possible (except with not having internet access for the device itself). I think about configuring routing mode and disabling WiFi, using my old infrastructure.
