We're currently using the WAX650S access points on a large property with several houses for recreation. They work great, especially when all wireless clients are wifi 5 or better. We also have a share of home automation that partly uses Apple's HomeKit and the more open Matter protocol for other 3rd party automations.

Since the WAX650S does have BLE, would it be possible to support the Thread network over BLE in future firmware? Or could it at least support BLE for Apple AirTag devices (and clones). It would enable us to distribute Thread more easily without additional hardware and check if tagged furniture isn't removed from the premises.

Of course, standard full Thread support for Matter and HomeKit on newer models would be perfect as well. Especially with the option to use a seperate IoT VLAN tag on the ethernet side.
