EX3301-T0 Unable to Change Device Name on Connectivity Page

When I try to change the name of 4 devices on the Connectivity page of my router I get the spinning dots for a few seconds followed by the message….

WARNING Setting not successful. Please try again.

No matter what name I chose, or how often I try, I get the same message.

The devices in question are my MAC Studio, a Sky Q Mini, (I can change the name of other Sky Q Mini's on the same network), and 2 Mycket smart sockets, (I have other Mycket smart sockets and I can change the name of those with no issues).

I've currently got 36 devices connected wirelessly and have no problems changing the name of any of the others.

Any idea how I can fix this?

Thanks in advance and best regards.

In the wireless section there is a maximum of 32 clients , so may be you cannot give more names ?

You can export your config files and search there for "HostName" and you see all your given device names bind to MAC adress . The Problem is that there can be old Names of devices you dont have anymore you can delete old or useless and have free space for new or important .

Delete the section between "{"HostName": etc. etc } "

When done so , you can reimport your corrected config file .

    Hi Peter and thanks

I'm afraid I can't find a way to export the config files within the menus of my router. The only place I see names are on the Connectivity page where I'm trying to change them.

    Best Regards
