DX3301-T0 Becomes Unreachable Over LAN

Final update to this: I later found I did not have to make the attached Pi actually ping the router in order to keep the LAN ports alive; simply having a 'live' device (the Pi) on a LAN port at all times was enough to stop the LAN behaving improperly.
