In Nebula 18.30, USG FLEX H series support Nebula VPN, to simplify VPN configuration and prevent subnet conflicts, NCC automatically assigns subnets for the local network when setting up centralized firewalls.
How Subnet Allocation Works:
- USG FLEX / ATP Firewalls → VPN subnet starts from 192.168.1.0/24
- USG FLEX H Series Firewalls → VPN subnet starts from 192.168.168.0/24
- This ensures a structured subnet plan that prevents overlapping subnets when deploying Nebula VPN.
Initial Setup Wizard for Nebula VPN
- When a firewall is assigned to an organization and site, NCC pre-reserves a subnet for the VPN.
- This automated process reduces the chance of network conflicts when multiple firewalls are deployed within an organization.
New: Subnet Planning Feature
- Once a firewall is assigned to a Nebula site, NCC automatically assigns a VPN subnet to each firewall.
- Users can choose to retain and use the default GE3/GE4 subnet settings.
Finalizing the Setup
- Click “Finish” and wait 10 seconds → The firewall applies network changes.
- Click “Connect to New Network” → Redirects to the login page for further configuration.
