Default DNS servers
On my Zywall USG Flex 200 I have 2 WANs active. Both WANs got different DNS servers assigned via DHCP. The assigned DNS servers were automaticly added under 'System-DNS' with Domain Zone '*'.
My question: Is it possible to prevent the automatic assignment of e.g. WAN2?

been asking for this some time ago
Remove AUTO added DNS as forwarder — Zyxel Community
You can use a switch upstream to block said DNS but not ideal and on the FLEX H I think there is a remove DNS from DHCP request (SSH) but still not what I would like

I need the DNS server of WAN2 to resolve some specified Domain Zones (#1,#2,#3), so removing DNS from the DHCP request isn't an option. It would be nice to have control over the addition of DNS servers to the Default Zone (*).

but DNS for (#1,#2,#3) would still work to 10.240109.1 even without the DNS request in DHCP

They want what I want even with DHCP to get DNS IP's do not add the DNS IP to be used as default forwarder.

Thanks Peter. I am just confused since in AJS's configuration, DNS for (#1,#2,#3) will work before the default rule (*).

Yes that is right however the Zywall sometimes skips over added DNS rules to use the default DNS in there setup they likely want to use DNS 192.168.3.100 and 192.168.5.100 but not 10.240.109.1 for other lookups.
like on my VPN300 I have the following but it will skip over working DNS like 192.168.53.12 and use default
So it be great to just disable all added DNS from DHCP and add them manually.
