Extension cable for ANT2105 antenna
Hello,
I have an outdoor mesh WiFi network composed of several ZYXEL WAX655E (AX5400) units, but I find them too visible in our garden. Are there antenna extension cables available for the ANT2105 antenna that would allow me to hide the ZYXEL WAX655E access points in a hidden spot without affecting their functionality?
I noticed that the ANT2105 antenna uses an N-type connector. There is any extension cables or adapters to relocate the ANT2105 antennas one or two meters away from the WAX655E? Alternatively, are there suitable "low-loss" cables or extensions available on the market that I could use without significantly degrading the signal? If yes, what would you recommend?
Thanks very much,
Carlo

Hi @Carlo1969,
ANT2105 has a compatible cable: LMR 400-N. Please reference the below URLs for more details.

Good morning. After this discussion here I bought, as you suggested, 2 extensions LMR 400-N here:
https://store.zyxel.com/91-005-075004g.htmlOn this page is written that these extension cables are compatible with my external wifi WAX655E but the problem is that your cables are identical on both sides (both female) so it's completely impossible to plug them between my external access point WAX665E and its existing antenna ANT2105. To do that I should have a male / female cable and not a female / female cable. What is the problem? How can I do that?
The reference number of the extension cables I received is 91-005-075004G. Thanks for help

Hi @Carlo1969,
I apologize for the delayed reply since I was checking some details.
First, LMR 400-N's connectors are plug (male), so it can plug into WAX665E. However, the existing antenna ANT2105 is a special spec for WAX665E, a plug(male) that can plug into WAX665E without the LMR 400-N. Therefore, you will need a jack(female) antenna to connect the LMR 400-N.
Since you mentioned your LMR 400-N is jack(female) on both side, could you help to take a photo so we can check with our product team?

Thanks for answer. This is the cable LMR 400-N you suggested me to buy which is male both side (not female, sorry). How can I connect it to extend the existing ANT2105 antenna which is also male ? It's impossible
