Why is the Wi-Fi being disabled or shut down?

There could be several reasons why the WiFi (SSID) is disabled:

  1. Insufficient Power Supply
Check if the power source provides adequate power according to the AP's power requirements. If the power is limited, the AP may disable certain functions, including WiFi. You can find the power specifications for each model in the Zyxel Download Library (Datasheet).

  2. SSID Scheduling
Verify whether the SSID is configured with a schedule. If the current time falls within the "off" period of the schedule, the SSID will be disabled during that time.

  3. Unsupported Features for the AP Model
Nebula’s SSID settings are applied globally across all APs in the same site. If an SSID is configured with a feature not supported by a specific AP model, that SSID will be disabled on that AP.

For example, NWA50AX and NWA50AX PRO do not support Captive Portal (Sign-in method), 802.1x WPA2/3-Enterprise authentication security. If an SSID is configured with Captive Portal/WPA2/3-Enterprise, it will not be broadcast by those models, though it may still be active on other models that do support the feature.
For a full list of supported features by model, refer to the Nebula Feature Matrix.
