Update files (Switch) ?

Hello,
On my GS1900-8, there are three "files" in the latest version:
- runtime-GS1900-8v2-V2.90(AAHH.1).bix → which I used for the update from http
- rom-GS1900-8v2-V2.90(AAHH.1).bix
- loader-GS1900-8v2-V2.90(AAHH.1).bin
What is the difference/use of runtime, rom, and loader?
