Solid red Internet light

ZYXEL EX3301-T0

Hello, has anyone else had any issues with the EX3301-t0 red internet light coming on and staying that way?.

Signed up with Voneus months ago, everything seemed fine at first, then one day the internet light turned red, it remained that way for 2 days solid before returning to green on its own, Friday gone it went red again except this time its stayed red.

Ive checked cat 5 cable, fine, box on wall has 3 green lights no problem there, rebooted router etc etc etc, contacted Voneus and all fine there, seems everything works as it should up to the point where it reaches the router.

I cannot for the life of me figure out what can be causing it, anyone any ideas please?

    Hi, I would suggest you to check more details with your ISP=Voneus. Like sorting out when is the time seeing red LED on internet. Is it happen frequent at some certain time? How long does it come back? Is there new software that you can update on to your device? This kinds of details would provide ISP more ideas about it. Hope it helps.

    Problem Solved

    Got an engineer out eventually, Took him a while to figure out the issue after much head scratching. Turned out whoever initially installed it, Some young lad, had done a real poor job of installing it in the house and the ONT was the problem, he supplied a new router anyway and redid the ONT and provided a new box for that, solved the problem.

    No idea how this has happened really, i would suggest broadband firms should be more careful with who they contract to fit broadband in the first place.
