HI Robert additionally you might try the native MacOS VPN client using L2TP over IPSEC . Refer to the System Preferences / Network / + (add a new interface)
Its very straightforward and reliable. (MacOS 10.10..... 10.14) stable if you are using basic L2TP.
This works fine with USG appliances... make sure your phase 1 (VPN Gateway) and phase 2 (Conn) settings are compatible with some iOS devices

Hi @Robert
Welcome to Zyxel Community. 😊
Can you post the USG error log as well? It would be helpful to troubleshoot this issue.
Go to “MONITOR > Log > View Log”

Hi @Robert
That’s weird. Windows secure extender is okay, but fail on MAC.
The USG log indicated that user has logged in, but MAC log is “Disconnected”.
I will contact you to troubleshoot it via private message.
