Overview
You may sometimes need to manually assign specific channels to individual Access Points (APs) for better performance or to resolve interference issues.
Step-by-Step Instructions
- Navigate to Configure > Access Points > Radio Settings
- Scroll to the bottom of the page
- Select the frequency band you wish to configure (e.g., 2.4GHz band)
- Check the checkbox next to the specific AP you want to modify
> Click the Edit button
From the dropdown menu, select your desired channel- Click Update button
Best Practices
- Recommended Approach: Enable the DCS feature to automatically scan and select optimal channels based on your network environment.
- Manual Configuration: If you need to set channels manually, use network analysis tools first to identify the least congested channels before making your selection.
