If your mobile router displays a solid red LED on the globe icon and fails to connect to the network, follow these troubleshooting steps in order:

  1. Check the SIM Card:
Confirm with your mobile operator that the SIM card is active, not blocked, and has not expired.
  2. Confirm APN Settings:
Ensure the APN (Access Point Name) configuration on the router matches your service provider’s requirements.
  3. Verify Signal Strength:
Place the device in an optimal location, such as near a window or in an open area. For stable connectivity, the RSRP (Reference Signal Received Power) should ideally be between -80 dBm and -90 dBm. Values below -100 dBm may lead to poor performance or failed connections.
  4. Test with an Alternate SIM Card:
If available, try another active SIM card. This helps determine whether the issue lies with the original SIM or the router itself.
  5. Inspect External Antennas (if used):
Ensure any connected external antennas are securely attached and properly oriented toward the base station.
  6. Check for Firmware Updates:
Confirm that the router is running the latest firmware version to ensure optimal compatibility and stability.
