The mobile router's cellular WAN disconnects and cannot reconnect automatically

For initial troubleshooting, please try the following steps:
- go to Network Setting > Broadband > Cellular WAN to enable the network monitoring feature.
This will help detect connection stability issues.
2. Check 5G Band Support:
a. Verify with your ISP which 5G bands are supported in your area. Then,
adjustthe Cellular Band setting on your router from Auto to Manual, selecting
the specific band for improved stability.
b. Alternatively Check local 5G signal via nperf website
(https://www.nperf.com/en/map/AT/-/-/signal?
ll=47.71671679243703&lg=13.35000000000001&zoom=7)
Select the appropriate Country,City/ province,District and Carrier(Operator).
3. Check Cellular band signal quality
Metric | Value Range | Signal Level | Interpretation |
---|---|---|---|
RSRP | > -80 dBm | ★★★★★ Excellent | Very strong signal; ideal for LTE connection |
-80 to -90 dBm | ★★★★☆ Good | Stable signal; good performance | |
-90 to -100 dBm | ★★☆☆☆ Fair to Weak | Usable but may affect speed or stability | |
< -100 dBm | ★☆☆☆☆ Poor | Very weak signal; likely unstable or dropped connection | |
RSRQ | > -10 dB | ★★★★☆ Good | Low interference; good signal quality |
-10 to -13 dB | ★★☆☆☆ Average | Acceptable but affected by interference/load | |
-13 to -15 dB | ★☆☆☆☆ Poor | High interference; degraded performance | |
< -15 dB | ☆☆☆☆☆ Very Poor | Severe interference; high latency, dropped sessions | |
SINR | > 20 dB | ★★★★★ Excellent | Excellent signal-to-noise ratio |
13 to 20 dB | ★★★★☆ Good | Good throughput expected | |
0 to 13 dB | ★★☆☆☆ Average to Poor | Noticeable performance drop | |
< 0 dB | ☆☆☆☆☆ Very Poor | Signal buried in noise; very poor data performance | |
RSSI | > -60 dBm | ★★★★★ Excellent | Strong total signal power |
-60 to -75 dBm | ★★★★☆ Good | Acceptable signal strength | |
-75 to -85 dBm | ★★☆☆☆ Weak | Often indicates distance or indoor blockage | |
< -85 dBm | ★☆☆☆☆ Poor | Very weak; may result in disconnection |
If the signal quality is too poor, it indicates that your device is located at the edge of the coverage area. It is recommended to improve the device placement or consider installing an external antenna.
