MSPs face increasing challenges—juggling multiple platforms, complex licensing, and repetitive tasks that drain time and limit growth. To solve these pain points, Zyxel Networks has introduced its Design for MSP, a unified strategy anchored in the Nebula Cloud Networking platform and extended by complementary services such as Circle and SecuReporter.

This approach brings together licensing, administration, network design, and device management under a single, integrated framework. By centralizing operations, automating workflows, and enabling flexible consumption models, Zyxel empowers partners to scale services efficiently, reduce overhead, and unlock new revenue opportunities.

✨The MSP Modules: Integrated Tools for Growth

Zyxel’s strategy delivers a comprehensive platform through several key modules:

🧷 1. Nebula MSP Pack

The Nebula MSP Pack features a centralized MSP portal and a per-admin licensing pack. This brings all customer networks into one intuitive "single pane of glass" view. The Pack significantly streamlines rollouts for chain or similar-client networks by allowing partners to create new organizations by cloning configurations from existing ones, and to synchronize site settings via cross-org synchronization. The inclusion of alerts and branding features further enhance visibility and the overall customer experience, helping MSPs save time, elevate service quality, and strengthen client trust.

  • MSP Portal provides a centralized gateway for MSPs to monitor and manage organizations, sites, and devices, enhancing efficiency and operational oversight.

  • Admins & Teams allow MSPs to assign roles, organize admins into teams, group customer organizations, and maintain centralized visibility for efficient management and oversight.

  • Cross-org synchronization enables MSPs to synchronize settings and replicate or move sites and devices across organizations, ensuring consistency, saving time, and supporting organizational changes.

  • Backup & Restore allows MSPs to centrally back up, schedule, monitor, and restore configurations for all managed devices—switches, firewalls/routers, and mobile routers—across multiple sites, ensuring quick recovery and consistent protection.

  • Alert Templates let MSPs centrally apply customized alerts and recipients across organizations and sites, enabling timely responses and minimizing downtime.

  • Firmware Upgrades allow MSPs to schedule and manage cross-organization device firmware updates, ensuring optimal performance and streamlined administration.

  • Change Log provides a centralized record of changes across MSP features and organizations, supporting tracking, troubleshooting, and project oversight.

  • MSP Branding enables a customizable, MSP-branded dashboard with the company's logo and a direct support contact, enhancing brand visibility, customer trust, and service satisfaction.

  • MSP Settings define the MSP as an entity in NCC, enabling clear identification, efficient linking to customer organizations, and access to Zyxel support.

🧷 2. Nebula Admin 3.0

Nebula Admin 3.0 is a re-design of the Nebula administrative interface, intended to further simplify partner workflows. This update will unify user and account management across Nebula services. Building on recent Nebula Control Center enhancements, Admin 3.0 allows for granular, site-level admin privileges for MSP users, referred to as Role-Based Access Control (RBAC). These improvements make it easier for MSPs to precisely assign roles and access across multiple client organizations.

🧷 3. Nebula OpenAPI

image-e9df322ed1ef2-7916.png

The Nebula OpenAPI provides a RESTful, key-secured interface that allows MSPs and systems integrators to embed Nebula-managed networks directly into their existing management platforms. Through this API, partners can programmatically fetch and synchronize Nebula data—such as organization, site, device inventory, and licensing information—into third-party PSA (Professional Services Automation) or RMM (Remote Monitoring and Management) tools. This capability supports the automation of key MSP workflows, such as device health/firmware monitoring, and automated alert or ticket creation, by driving Nebula network events into the MSP systems. Additionally, because it is fully accessible via standard HTTPS calls, MSPs can write custom scripts (e.g., in Python) or configure webhooks/orchestration routines to extend Nebula’s functionality.

🧷 4. Zyxel Circle

image-5985fc065fce-6c91.png

Pay-As-You-Go (PAYG) billing introduces a flexible, usage-based model that reflects actual consumption. MSPs can scale services up or down monthly, paying only for active devices—ideal for fully-managed, project-based, or hourly engagements without upfront capital commitments. This new billing option is delivered through Zyxel Circle, the company’s subscription management platform, which also centralizes all device licenses, renewals, and customer inventories to help MSPs maintain visibility and service continuity.

🧷 5. Bulk Device Management Features

These features are designed to reduce repetitive tasks and help MSPs deliver secure networks at scale. They include a batch firmware upgrade scheduler located in the MSP portal, which facilitates the simultaneous updating of firewall and router firmware across multiple customer sites with a single operation. Furthermore, security profile sync ensures that security policies and profiles are consistently and rapidly deployed across a customer’s network.

💡Additional Services

Zyxel SecuReporter provides MSPs centralized security visibility and in-platform support ticketing. Its Smart Weekly Reports deliver AI-generated highlights and actionable insights, enabling quick anomaly detection, confident response, and enhanced managed security services.

By combining the multi-org dashboard of the MSP Pack, Admin 3.0, Nebula OpenAPI, flexible PAYG licensing, Circle’s license management, Bulk device operations, and Wireless planning tool, Zyxel delivers a comprehensive MSP platform. This integrated strategy empowers partners to scale rapidly, automate operations, and adapt swiftly to changing demands, ultimately enabling the delivery of robust managed networking services with maximum efficiency.
