Answer:
License transfer issues during HA-Pro setup typically occur when the two firewalls do not have compatible licenses or when the HA-Pro configuration is incomplete. To resolve the issue, follow the steps below:
(1) Verify License Compatibility
Ensure that both firewalls include the required licenses.
Note: A factory license may limit license transfer between devices.
(2) Determine Active and Passive Roles
Identify which firewall will serve as the active (master) unit and which will serve as the passive (secondary) unit.
(3) Build Device-HA Configuration
a. Enable Device-HA on the active firewall and configure it as the master.
b. Configure the second firewall as the passive unit within the HA-Pro setup.
(4) Request License Transfer Assistance
After Device-HA is fully configured and synchronized, Zyxel Support can assist with transferring the renewed license to the active (master) firewall.
