If your WAX300H is unable to power a connected PoE device, several factors may be involved. Below are the most common causes and recommended solutions:

1. Access Point Operating in Limited Mode (100 Mbps)

The WAX300H may fall back to 100 Mbps mode if the Ethernet link quality is degraded. This can limit overall functionality, including PoE output capability.

Solution:
Replace the Ethernet cable with a high-quality one and test the uplink using a different switch port.

2. PoE Output Is Supported Only on LAN1 Port

The WAX300H provides PoE output on LAN1 only. Connecting a PoE device to another LAN port will not deliver power.

Solution:
Ensure the powered device is connected specifically to the LAN1 port.

3. Power Output Limitation of the WAX300H

The WAX300H can provide up to 5 watts of PoE power to connected devices. If the connected device requires more than this, the WAX300H will not be able to supply sufficient power.

Solution:
Confirm that the powered device’s power requirement is 5 W or less.
