If your Zyxel access point (AP) is blinking Orange/Green slowly (1-second interval), it means the AP is trying to connect to the Nebula Cloud but has failed to establish a stable connection. This issue is usually related to local network configuration or internet connectivity.
Troubleshooting Steps
1. Check if the AP Obtained a Local IP Address and firewall configuration
- If the AP does not have a private IP address:
Verify that your router, DHCP server, and Ethernet cabling are working properly. - If the AP does have a private IP address:
Ensure your firewall is not blocking the required Nebula management ports:- TCP 4335
- TCP 6667
2. Verify DNS Settings
To avoid DNS resolution issues, configure the AP or network to use a reliable public DNS server, such as:
- 8.8.8.8
- 8.8.4.4
3. Check Physical Connectivity
If the problem continues:
- Inspect the Ethernet cable quality.
- Check the uplink switch/router for instability.
- Replace the cable or change ports if needed.
