Why my access point show “Limited” status on the AP controller?

If the WAX650S access points appear as “limited” when managed by a AP controller, the issue is typically caused by a configuration mismatch.

Possible reason

A radio country code mismatch was configured between the two radios, ex: Radio1 profile use for 2.4Ghz band, Radio2 profile use for 5Ghz band.

  • Radio1 set to Thailand
  • Radio2 set to Switzerland

AP requires both radios to use the same country code.
When they differ, the system reports a limited status.

Solution

  1. Set Radio1 and Radio2 profile country code configuration to the same country code.
  2. Save the configuration. After correcting the mismatch, the AP status will change to normal status.
