If your device cannot connect to the 5 GHz network, try the following:
- Update the client device driver to ensure compatibility with 5 GHz WiFi.
- Confirm the device is receiving a signal stronger than –65 dBm, as weak signals can prevent connection.
- Disable “Avoid 5G DFS channel” so the AP can use a wider range of channels, which may improve connectivity.
- For IoT or legacy devices, create a separate SSID with appropriate security settings to avoid compatibility issues.
