Hi guys,

I could use some help. My situation: bought NWA50BE and I want it to run on POE. Since it needs POE+, I bought new switch Mercusys MS108GP which should be ok for the AP. But unfortunately all I get is fast blinking green/amber and that's it, no wifi after booting. Can someone please help?

I have read this thread: https://community.zyxel.com/en/discussion/31341/new-nwa50be-ap-emits-no-wifi-signal but I can see way different info regarding what is shown in the attachements in that thread. So no info about the power mode.

    Hi @Drainer_4G,

    Welcome to the Zyxel Community!

    Please refer to this table first and confirm the exact LED behavior on your NWA50BE so we can better identify the issue.

    Additionally, although your Mercusys switch supports PoE+ (802.3at), please verify the power consumption: the NWA50BE draws 16W. Ensure your switch has enough power budget to supply this consistently. Insufficient power can sometimes cause the device to get stuck in a boot-up loop.

    To assist further:

    • Please ensure there's a DHCP server in your environment for proper network access.
    • If you can access the AP's GUI, please share screenshots of the dashboard.
    • Confirm your cable length is under 100m—longer cables can cause power issues with PoE.

    hello,

    it blinks as in first described manner;

    switch supports up to 30w of power supply through POE+ (according to its specs);

    there is outdoor 5G cpe unit (ZTE MC7010) which acts as router;

    cable length is not exceeding 100m;

    I'm not saying AP is stuck in boot-up loop. I guess it boots, but since there is no connection to make, so I can't confirm that. I have not measured, but it takes roughly the same time blinking in boot status as with the external power supply.

    I think you better provide screenshots to show what your AP dashboard and log displayed.

    Hi @Drainer_4G

    Could you help to record a video for us to check the AP's LED status? This allows us to better determine the AP's status.
