DX3301-T0 - multiple local vlanned subnets (ethernet and SSID-vlan mapping)
Freshman Member
I am trying to split my increasingly complex home network into several vlans for administrative security and ease of management
DX3301 advertising material claims that the router handles multiple local subnets and tagged vlan support, however I have been unable to achieve the following:
1: Associating SSIDs with vlans (no, assigning a subnet is not the same thing)
2: Assigning a local subnet to a vlan for local (not WAN) ethernet connections
3: Assigning routed AND NATed subnets (My ISP assigns 16 public IPs. I do not want my IOT devices to have public IP addresses. The DX3301 only seems to allow a NATed subnet or a routed subnet, not both.
If these are possible then I need some clear instructions on achieving it. If not then the device will be returned - As I selected this based on advertised capabilities then misleading advertising issues may need to be raised.
My ISP has been unable to help. In particular they want #3 as well and have found it impossible to do so - despite being told by the supplier that it was possible, then getting zero response to their requests for assistance
Given the advertising claims and the experience so far, if I'm unable to perform the desired actions - which are reasonable expectations given the advertised capabilities - then the device is unfit for the purpose for which it is represented.
