An access point stuck in a continuous reboot loop can be concerning. In many cases, this behavior is related to power delivery conditions or hardware initialisation during the boot process.

Here are several recommended steps to help isolate and troubleshoot the issue:

Verify the Power Source

Temporarily test the AP using an external power adapter or a supported USB Type-C power input (if supported by the AP model).

If the AP operates normally with direct power input, the issue may be related to the PoE (Power over Ethernet) source, PoE negotiation, or switch-side power delivery.

Check PoE Specifications and Cabling

Ensure the connected PoE source meets at least the 802.3at requirement. Please refer to the official specifications for the exact power requirements of each AP model.

In addition, we recommend:

  • Testing a different PoE switch port
  • Trying another PoE injector or switch
  • Replacing the Ethernet cable for comparison

Confirm Device Behavior

If the AP still continuously reboots under different verified power methods, this may indicate a potential hardware-related issue, and further inspection or RMA evaluation may be required.
