Why does the mobile router go offline in Nebula after the V0 firmware upgrade?

If your mobile router shows as "offline" or loses its cloud management capabilities immediately after upgrading to a "V0" suffix firmware (such as security patch versions addressing CVE-2026-1460), this behavior is actually expected.

Why This Happens

The V0 firmware is a specialized, standalone security patch designed to provide immediate protection against specific vulnerabilities ahead of the official release cycle.

To guarantee maximum security under immediate threat, this emergency patch focuses strictly on vulnerability remediation and intentionally disables the Nebula cloud management functions. As a result, the device will no longer communicate with the Nebula Control Center (NCC) and will appear offline.

What Should You Do?

• If you have already upgraded: If your deployment relies heavily on Nebula central management and you do not have an urgent security threat that requires the V0 patch, you can downgrade back to the standard firmware or prepare to upgrade to the upcoming official release.
• If you haven't upgraded yet (Recommended): Because mobile routers typically operate over cellular networks behind an ISP’s Carrier-Grade NAT (CGNAT), the practical risk of external exploitation is generally low. If you do not have an urgent requirement, we recommend waiting for the official Nebula firmware release scheduled for next month. The official release will include the vulnerability fix while fully preserving your Nebula cloud management functionality.
