The issue is related to poor radio quality (low SINR values), not insufficient signal strength. High interference in the environment can cause these symptoms:

  • Unstable throughput
  • Increased latency and jitter
  • Packet loss and retransmissions

Steps to Improve Connection Stability:

  1. Reposition the Router: Move the device to a higher location or adjust its orientation toward the nearest base station. Even small changes can improve SINR.
  2. Check RF Conditions: Log in to the router’s interface to review real-time RSRP, RSRQ, and SINR values. Persistent low SINR (close to or below 0 dB) confirms RF interference.
  3. Test Different SIMs or Carriers: This can identify if the issue is ISP-related.
  4. Experiment with Band Locking: Configure the router to lock onto specific bands (e.g., 5G or LTE) for stability.
