I’d like to connect securely to my SSL VPN using macOS.
It seems the SE client is no longer available for macOS 26.
Is that correct? Any suggestions?

Thanks

    Hi @moneska ,

You are correct. The legacy SecuExtender SSL VPN client for macOS has reached its End of Life (EOL). It is officially compatible only up to macOS 14 (Sonoma) and is not supported on macOS 15 (Sequoia) or subsequent versions.

To keep your macOS devices securely connected to your USG FLEX 50, we recommend the following solutions:

    Solution & Guidance

    • Switch to IPSec VPN (Highly Recommended)
      • Instead of SSL VPN, we strongly suggest switching to IPSec VPN (IKEv2).
        • No Client Software Required: macOS features a robust, built-in native IPSec/IKEv2 client.
        • Easy Deployment: You can use the VPN Setup Wizard on your USG FLEX 50 to automatically generate configuration scripts for macOS, making the setup on your Apple devices quick and seamless.
        • Benefits: IPSec offers higher performance, stronger encryption standards, and improved stability compared to legacy SSL VPN.
    • Upgrade to USG FLEX H Series (For Continued SSL VPN Support)
      • If your network environment strictly requires SSL VPN (for example, to bypass restrictive firewalls that block standard VPN ports):
        • Consider upgrading to a next-generation USG FLEX H series firewall.
        • The H series supports the industry-standard OpenVPN protocol, allowing you to use any standard, freely available OpenVPN client on modern macOS versions.
        • Note: While Zyxel has a newer "SecuExtender Zero Trust" client, when paired with the standard USG FLEX 50, it only supports the IPSec/IKEv2 protocol (SSL VPN is not supported on this client-firewall combination).
