Possible reasons:
- Printer network service did not recover correctly after power loss
The printer may reconnect to Wi-Fi and get an IP address, but its print service, web GUI, or discovery service may still be stuck. This is common after an unexpected power outage. - Printer is in power-saving / deep sleep mode
Some printers keep the Wi-Fi connection active but stop responding to ping, web access, or print jobs while sleeping. After the power outage, it may have entered a deeper sleep state. - IP conflict or stale DHCP lease
The printer may have received an IP address that was previously used by another device, or other devices may still have an old ARP record for the printer.
Suggested checks:
- Reboot the printer again manually.
- Check whether you can ping the printer IP from a PC.
- Try opening the printer’s web page using
http://printer-ip. - Confirm the printer IP, subnet mask, gateway, and DNS.
- Reserve a DHCP IP for the printer or assign a fixed IP.
- Disable printer deep sleep / power-saving network mode if available.
If the problem persists, further investigation of the specific settings of the Zyxel access point and printer may be necessary.
