Symptom:

After a voucher code is reset, the next user can reuse it, but the timer does not start and the code remains marked as “Unused.”

This issue is timing-related.

For example:

  1. Create voucher 686527148
  2. Station A logs in using the voucher code 686527148 at 09:00 (at this point, the session time starts counting and status is active).
  3. Reset voucher code 686527148 so that its status changes to “Unused.”
  4. Scenario 1: Station B logs in at 09:05, five minutes after Station A logged in

Station B logs in using the same voucher code, 686527148. At this point,
the voucher status is displayed as “Active,” and the remaining time is counting down.

Scenario 2: Station B logs in at 09:04, within five minutes after Station A logged in

Station B logs in using the same voucher code, 599094064. At this point,
the voucher status is displayed as “Unused,” and the remaining-time field is blank.

The five-minute interval occurs because the AP retains Station A’s voucher authentication cache for five minutes. Therefore, if another station uses the same voucher code to log in to the captive portal within that period, the AP does not need to send another authentication request to CC.
