Why Does LibreNMS Detect a Zyxel Switch as a ZyWALL, and How to Correct It?

Why is my Zyxel switch (XMG/GS/XGS/CX series, etc.) identified as a ZyWALL instead of a ZyXEL Ethernet Switch in LibreNMS?

Root cause: The XMG/GS/XGS/CX series are missing from LibreNMS OS detection.

Please follow the steps below to update both configuration files (zynos.yaml and zywall.yaml). Here, the XMG series is used as an illustration.

Step 1: Add {XMG} to zynos.yaml

step 2: Exclude {XMG} from zywall.yaml

By updating the OS detection YAML files, LibreNMS can now accurately identify Zyxel switch OS information.
