Unable to disable Wifi

Hi we have an EX3301-TO, we want to disable the wifi, there is a Wifi On/off button on the device, it does nothing. In the console if you go to WiFi settings you can switch off the 2.4G but you cannot disable the 5GHz as it says that cannot be disabled when MPro mesh is enabled. No where on the console connected to the device directly via http 192.168.1.1 is there any dialogue anywhere mentioning MPro. We have even reset the device hoping that there would be wizard or some such to follow but nothing, the device stubbornly remains the same. Can anyone help please.
