Video broadcasting problem

Hi,

We have a WAC6502D-S for e-learning system.

Problem appears when broadcasting the videos from teacher laptop to student’s pad. The videos would be from sources: local harddisk, youtube, cloud server

- VCD/SD video resolution ==> smooth transfer without delay and good buffering/ playing but the video quality is not good due to the low resolution.

- HD 720 x 1280 resolution ==> interrupted transfer/ buffer; broken video play

Does anyone have idea or suggestion for this case?

    Hi @Hedy,

    If you use 2.4GHz radio, you can refer this FAQ to adjust the performance.
    https://businessforum.zyxel.com/discussion/470/how-to-optimize-wireless-performance-on-2-4-ghz#latest
    If you use 5GHz radio, maybe you can use 40MHz for bandwidth if there is not other co-channel use.
    For the HD vedio, I suggest you adjust the multicast rate through the AP’s web GUI from 1Mbps to 11Mbps, 18Mbps, 24Mbps, and so on. The multicast rate must higher than your video traffic.

    Hi Kathy,

    Thanks for your suggestion. There are 2.4G and 5G in my environment at the same time. I tried to adjust the value as you suggested. After testing, the video quality is better than before. I should make a record for this topic for further usage.
    Thanks.
