USG40W - Wi-Fi speed max 144Mb???
Hi
On USG40W wake office wi-fi.
Configuration->Object->AP Profile->Radio - 2.4GHz, set band 802.11b/g/n, chanel width 20/40MHz, DCS is ON, set Allow 802.11n/ac stations only
Configuration->Wireless->AP management->AP list->Local AP - output power set to 30
Office clients - 802.11n (ASUS USB-AC53, Intel Dual Band Wireless-AC 9560 802.11ac), iPhone 10, 11.
Monitor->Wireless->Station info - All connected device show speed 62-144Mb/s
In specification USG40W - 802.11n: up 300 Mbps in MCS15 (40 MHz; GI = 400 ns)
How i can UP speed to 300Mbps ???
Firmware: V4.35(AALB.0)

Wireless speed listed is not the true speed for faster speed use 5Ghz

USG40W have ONLY 2.4GHz!
Why in specification says support 300Mbps speed, but in real - 144Mbps?

Is 144Mb the link speed or speed test?
Your link speed can depend on what your device supports for 2.4Ghz

All devices near USG40W - 1-4 meters (no wall)
Windows wlan info show speed like this screenshot.
Device number 7 (-85db) - distance 6 meters with one brick wall.
At home device with numbers 5 and 6 connected to my AP (Zyxel Keenetic Giga III) and work full speed - 300 mpbs

Hi @Depeshev,
In 802.11n, 300Mbps is the max throughput for USG40W on theoretical. Lots of factors may influent the performance of wireless transmission, such as interference signal, signal strength, channel loading.
Generally the performance won’t meet the max value.
Besides, AP and Station will dynamically change channel width and MCS index (base on environment), so the wireless throughput is usually floating, not a fixed value.
Wireless throughput also differs by station capability, generally laptop has higher throughput than handheld devices.
In most cases, the real throughput is 50% off comparing to the max value. In your test results, 144Mbps is quite close to the 50% of 300 Mbps.

Today test my wi-fi network.
Test device connected to USG40W throught ASUS USB-AC53 on speed 144/132Mbps, signal strenght -54db (distance 3m, no wall)
Copy single big file (size 800Mb) from server (connected to USG on 1Gbps RG45) to client:
- CPU USG40W load up to 80%
- TaskManager on server (Windows 2019) show upload speed 50-55Mbps
- TaskManager on client (Windows 10 Pro 1909) show download speed 50-55Mbps
- USG40W Monitor->Wireless->Station info - client speed down to 105Mbps
Also connected sip-telefone Yealink T41S with usb wi-fi adapter WF50 (distance 7m, speed 60Mbps, signal strenght -65db).
At home (Zyxel Keenetic Giga III) this sip-telefon connected on speed 150Mbps and ping test show dalay from 1 to 4 ms.
