CAPWAP version for 4.35-WK45

Hallo,

on download page of the Weekly version there is a message on top to manually set the capwap Version to 5.40(.1)-DF-2019-11-8 . Is this Version newer than the one found by the mechanism which is behind the check button?

Is there any Information what have been changed?

Is this Firmware only for external AP or also for the integrated AP (USG40W, USG60W)?

Hi @Wolfgang,

The AP firmware 5.40(.1)-DF-2019-11-8 is for external AP only.

It is newer than 5.40 Patch 1 and it fixes the issue "managed AP default admin credentials do not change".

i expect in WK46 this newer CAPWAP Version is already included, correct?

Hi @Wolfgang,

The AP firmware version is still V5.40 Patch 1 in the firmware 4.35 WK46.

The fix in AP firmware 5.40(.1)-DF-2019-11-8 will be included in USG's next official firmware 4.35 Patch 2 which will be released in the late December.

I have done a "check" for AP-Firmware with WK46 and found a V5.40 Patch 1. Is this newer than the "DF-2019-11-8" Version?

When i do a "check" on the WK45 where i have manually installed the AP Firmware, i do not get a newer one, also it Looks like it not really checking but more ignoring that i have pressed "check" .

Hallo,

i have seen there is a new AP Management Firmware 5.40(.2)-DF-2020-01-10 on the support.zyxel.eu Website under Weekly firmware.

Can you pls. give as a little bit more informations so we know what is fixed/updated and for what Firmware versions it is valid and/or should/must be installed. Also if this is only for Weekly fimware or should also be applied to a offical Firmware.
