Hi Zyxel Biz

Does anyone have high internet speeds where the USG 300 becomes a bottleneck?

I have a 200/200Mbit internet connection but can't pull more than 170Mbit out of it.

Port status of USG300 is 1000M/Full for GE1(LAN) and GE2(WAN)

/StouAdmin

ps. running latest firmware with tlsv1.2 support and strong cipher active.

Thx to @Zyxel_Jerry

Do you use any of the UTM functions?

    Hi @PeterUK

    No, I'm only using ADP

But even with that off, it makes no difference. This is from today.

So in front of your router you get 200?

You have l2tp_vpns, ssl or other vpns?

We have loaded up USG 1000 devices and loads of vpns, both l2tp and IPSEC.

Off our 20mb fiber provider, we always get 20 (I know these days, it's nothing), but the USG 1000

is killin it. I have a USG 100 in one of our showrooms, I'll check speeds there just for kicks.

Maybe your provider is metering due to current events.

    hello @mm_bret

    Thx for answer.

In front of my ISP I got 200/200 and there is no VPN loaded.

no IPSEC just plan traffic to the net.

I got at friend that uses the same ISP and have 300/300 but with our ISP we always got a bit more for overload, så he' actually got 320/321

    Picture is from him.

He's using a different router, but the point is that the ISP is not metering us.

my best gess after testing lots of thing, is that the USG300 don't have the throughput that is stated in the specs.

    Hi @StouAdmin

It’s a strange result since we just did a simple test with our device device, the throughput is much higher comparing to yours.

Can you private message your configuration file for check further?

    How's the test?
I realize it will take time, so I'm patient but curious.
I'm considering buying another router/product, but if you find the "bug", then you can save me a large amount of money.

    Hi @StouAdmin

After check the configuration file, we have found the feature traffic statistic is enabled which will lead to some overhead of packet processing.

Can you disabled the function and test again the throughput?

    Hi Jerry,
I didn't see that coming, but I can promise you that it made an improvement that can be seen right away.
    Thank you very much.
And to anyone else who might read this, the smallest details are always the ones that provide the most value.
Big thanks to Jerry and Co.
