When enabling IGMP feature for multicast traffic you can define up to max 15 VLANS.
For larger environments this is way to low. HP, CISCO,... provides more VLANS.
Please expand this maximum!!

    Hi @UNetworksIT

    Welcome to Zyxel community.

For starters, we'd like to know which model you're using?
And, how many VLANs do you desire expanding to?

    Hi Lucious,

We use the XS3800, XS3700 as main core switches (those have all our VLANS).
In our other switches we use the XGS2210-28 en 52.

I don't know what the possibilties are at your side... but if we can double the number to for ex 30 VLANS in the IMGP or go to 50 then that would be a hughe step forward.

    Cheers

    Geoffrey

In our experience, up to 15 IGMP snooping VLANs should handle most of our cases.
If possible, could you describe your application/scenario for us?

    Sincerely,

    1.
Could you confirm that the multicast streaming running in all of 19 VLANs all the time?

    2.
If so, it seems to us that "IGMP router" would be better for your scenario to do IGMP routing task without VLAN number limitations, i.e. you don't have to configure all VLANs on every switch.

The feature is available on our L3 switch XGS4600 series.

    Sincerely,
    Zyxel_Lucious

    Hi Lucious,

We are talking about IGMP snooping... and not IGMP routing

    Tnx for your feedback.

    Regards

    Geoffrey

It was just kind of recommendation, but fine now we can focus on IGMP snooping.
And how about my original question?
Could you confirm that the multicast streaming running in all of 19 VLANs all the time?
