Port Zone Assignments

Shouldn't we be able to change zones as desired on any of the USG Flex 500 ports?

On a USG Flex 500 I ran into and issue with port ge4 (assigned to OPT) in changing it to the WAN zone and it associated PPPoE also to the WAN zone.  While I could initially do it and it worked, rebooting the router resulted in the PPPoE forced back to OPT and various errors with until both were returned to the OPT zone.  OPT is not as easy to deal with as the WAN zone.  I also tried ge8 and had the same difficulties.  It was most expedient to obtain a SFP module with 1Gbps RJ45 support, which works great for allowing 3 WAN ports.

    We will release the firmware to you after we work out the solution.
     
    On USG FLEX 500, P4 is configured as opt and WAN zone.


    On opt_ppp interface, it is also configured as WAN zone. 

    Reboot USG FLEX 500, the following error message appears.

    You can go to Ethernet page then access GE1 interface, and select from OPT to Lan1 on Zone Filed.  Choose the Internal as interface type.
