A follow up, if I may:
Following ZyXel KB (https://kb.zyxel.com/KB/searchArticle!gwsViewDetail.action?articleOid=010549&lang=EN#),
SBG3300 - ZyWall IPSec vpn connection is successful. I can open the remote ZyWall and use Remote Desktop to open PC on remote lan, which was my objective. Out of curiosity, why can I not use Ping (or tracert) to the remote LAN? Thanks, Jeff
