Hi All,

I've just purchased a couple of PLA-5456 passthoughs and cannot connect my PC to it, constantly saying unidentifed network. I have had the PC in the same room with the passthroughs 2 meters aparts and have tried on two laptops and PC but to no effect. Even tried a reset to factory defaults but still no good.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

    Hi,
What is your homeplug LED status? light on? off?
How do you connect this couple PLA? can you draw it down or describe it?
Have you received the IP address from uplink?

The both homeplug LED should light on as sync ready, then first PLA connects to uplink, second PLA connects to your PC.

    Hi Mihawk,

All 3 LED's are lit and when I use the configuration utility I can see both units, this is why it is so frustrating.

Just done a complete reset to factory defaults and connected everything back up and took a few screen dumps. Almost tempted to throw them in the bin and get a TP-Link passthrough.

    Just a quick update...

Just powered on the PC in the studio and lo and behold I had a connection, I think Microsoft has a lot to answer for...

Anyway issue is now resolved and I'm a happy man.

That original problem seems that your PC can't receive the correct IP address from TP-Link through both PLA5456.
But whatever, you have solved the problem now, congratulations.
