I have been using a pair of PLA4201 Powerline adapters very successfully for a few years now. Recently from time to time I lose the connection. This is restored by unplugging the adapter which is the one connected to the router and then plugging it back into the power socket. Any reason why this is happening?

Maybe is component aging.
You can reset it and pair again to see if the problem gone, and if that so, might somethings unknow reason to cause the config error.0
