Hey I am setting up an access point on the other side of the house. There's a cat cable going from a wall Jack in the same room as the main modem up to second floor.
Do I need to add a wall jack upstairs or can I just plug the cable directly into the WLAN port?

What is the model of your AP?
you can just simply plug the cable to AP, and the other end of the cable to the Modem, then the AP should able to work and broadcast the SSID.0
