Zyxel as Repeater in Fritzbox Network

Hello,

 

I have tried serval ways to get the Zyxel NWA11223-AC-HD in a network with fritzboxes.

The Zyxel is not able to integrate into the network consisting of fritzbox 7590 and 5490.

If i am using the zyxel in AP mode the zyxel is working fine, but as repeater i get no connection?

There are some blogs stating that zyxel will be only work together with other zyxel devices but i cant believe that this should be true.

 

If you need more info to my network configuration please let me know.

    Hi @chrisBBG,
    The Zyxel AP only works together with other Zyxel devices because it supports proprietary Zymesh technical to protect the mesh application, avoid the security vulnerability issue, and prevent the network to be attacked, so although there are many security vulnerability problems for public mesh, you don't have to worry about that.

    Based on my observation, different vendor's Mesh network aren't usually compatible with each other. (Unless both of them passed the easymesh Certificate of WFA, but usually proprietary approach is more common)
