Hello, i want to create a vpn so that from a remote pc i can connect to to router' s office and then to the local LAN. I have tried the wizard and it did not work

    do i necessarily need to use SECUEXTENDER software? I have tried only setting up a remote connection on windows 10 but it doesn't work, it says "tunnel attempt could not be done" or similar ( i translate it from italian language)

    hello
    while i could configure ssl and it works..there is no way to have l2tp working. I follow all the steps, but seems someting is missing. When i ry to connect from my pc it seems that it does not even reach the gateway, i don't see any event in the router log also..can you please more specific? thank you

    @stefanocps

    How about using the mobile devices to build up the L2TP tunnel? If the mobile devices can build L2TP VPN successful, you need to check on your PC’s routing table or try to remove the VPN profile on you PC and rebuild it.

    If the mobile device doesn’t work, too. You may need to check on the log and share it with us in private message.

    i don't know how to create vpn tunnel from a mobile phone. Anyway when trying from Pc i don't see anything in the log

    @stefanocps Not sure which mobile device you own but I ever established L2TP VPN successfully via my iphone. Maybe you can refer the tutorial of "Setup L2TP configuration on IOS" or "Setup L2TP configuration on Android" which @Zyxel_Jeff provided previously https://community.zyxel.com/en/discussion/4532/how-to-setup-l2tp-vpn#latest

    Please check the windows service of “IKE and AuthIP IPsec Keying Module” if been enable, if so its status will show started.

    that service is regularly running. Ypu linked me a topic where the solution is suggeste din adding some rules in router's firewall. But if the vpn works from mobile, i don't think it is needed adding those rule in firewall..isnt'it?
